Goodmorning! ☀️ Unfortunately, it’s that time of the year to announce the chickens have drastically cut back on laying for the season. The colder temps, shorter days, etc all play a big part!

We will not be able to continuously stock the pick up fridge at Tousey at this time but will post if production picks back up!

Thank you all so much for selling us out weekly and come spring we will have even more inventory with our 100 new pullets ready to lay! 🥚

The best time to be in the woods. Those few lucky warm winter days before the last random snow storm or the thick spring honeysuckle takes over.

Spent the afternoon having a go at our first time tapping sugar maples. Meggie took a workshop last week trying to learn more and Scottie went to “ole faithful” YouTube. I’m always amazed the things he learns and can figure out from #youtubeuniversity

It was a fun new project that we both were excited about. Finding a way to utilize some of our heavily wooded acres that otherwise usually go untouched.

But - also realized we need to add about 100+ more head of sheep/goat to clear the undergrowth. 😬 Goals
