OUR STORY

3rd Generation Family Farm

Scott was born and raised on the Martin Farm in Petersburg, KY and followed his grandfather and father's footsteps continuing to work the land and raise livestock. It was always "home" to him. Meggie and Scott met on this same farm when Meggie stopped out to purchase three chickens from Scott's father, Dave. Three chickens later, they married and have two wonderful boys, Trace and George. Meggie did not necessarily grow up on a farm but dove right into the lifestyle learning from the best, Cora and Dave Martin who operated the farm. Dave taught her how to run barbed wire fencing for the cattle pastures and Cora taught her to be fearless when working cattle. Scott had many laughs along the way as they showed her the ropes.

While we no longer have Dave and Cora physically here to help us, their spirit is very much alive on the farm as they watch over Scott and Meggie raising their boys and carrying on their farming legacy to the fourth generation.

We currently raise Angus and Highland cattle, registered KuneKune pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and a sweet pony, Sugar!

Farming is a lifestyle that is not always the easiest. It can be frustrating, fulfilling, exhausting, yet so rewarding. We work in all elements 365 days a year but we get the privilege of raising free range children to explore the land and learn at an early age the rewards of hard work!
